This thread is for passing on things we like to do while "laid over". Well, since I am now on full time "lay over", I have started cooking again.
A couple of weeks ago it was our prize winning chili. Last week a made a big pot of beef soup. Took 3 days to make it but it sure was good!
Now, I am starting on a pot of chicken soup. Again, it's a 3 or 4 day job. I ordered 14lbs of chicken necks and backs the other day, to start my stock with. Once I start cooking it will simmer for 8-10 hours. I have to stop and get some other "fixin's" as well, like a dozen onions etc.
It's going to be an OUTSTANDING Sunday dinner!
