The Passion Of The Christ

After watching this film, I felt the most gut wrenching emotions a movie had ever inflicted. Sat in silence with a sold-out audience for what seemed like three hours of grizzle, gore, blood, guts, and torment. Not a single word in English. None were needed.
Truly a masterpiece for director, Mel Gibson. Yeah, it's his interpretation of events. But, I left fairly traumatized and I think that was Mel's intent. Dazed for days. Did anyone watch this and walk away unmoved?

Yes - I saw it, and no - I was not unmoved. I believe Mel's intent was to slam me between the eyes with a two by four and it worked. I believe it was a fairly accurate portrayal of the events that occurred and it was very well done. Still. I don't think that I want to see it again.

this is only the second time i have left a theatre with a stunned quiet audience.

I seen this at the 1st viewing in toledo and this was the 1st time I had ever walked out of a theater that was in a stunned silence. And I think most people that seen this were part of the same thing. It really makes you understand the price that was paid for our sins....

Yeah, I saw it at the movie theater when it first came. I have not seen before or after open, public weeping like that.

I bought the DVD thinking I would watch it again. Ten minutes into the second viewing, I had to stop. It's an emotional nuclear bomb. Just couldn't take what was coming.
