Got a nice call earlier from my trusted Co. driver offering to team-up for 4 months or so.
we work well as a team , and have being doing that in past.(as Company drivers)

as an owner , i need to fined-out :
how to sher the profits ?
what will be a good % of revenue to pay a co.driver ?
How match money in it for the Co.driver ?

can i afford to have a co.driver in the truck ?
will be enough money to pay the business ?

is there money for team to make at the general fleet ,or do you have to be an 'Elite' to make it out there ?
and so on...

I have been considering getting a co driver also. I have had to pass on so many loads because they were too long and they didn't want to have to set up a swap.

I was going to offer 50 cents per mile that they drive and automatically give them half the loaded miles.

They could make over $700 a week if we got at least 3000 miles. Their only deduction would be the workman's comp insurance.

While I rather be solo, I think I could get a lot more miles if the log book restrictions were lifted.
