superman

readjing a parker book about spencer, spencer refers to the fact he can.....leap over semi tall building in a single bound. this got me thinking about big blue. not the bud collier big blue as he was the up up and away radio voice, and not the big blue kirk allen version in superman vs atom man and not the smallville little big blue but the george reeves/clark kent big blue. remember when he used to get the bad news and excused himself? he went to the empty(perpetually) room and taking off his glasses he entered and was then seen running and pushing off to fly to the rescue.

if superman is the man uf steel and he has powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal man....why is it when he pushes off from the puny window sill he never managed to push it down, crumble it, cause damage to the building and possibly dropping bricks on the innocent passersby below?

gotta go but thought i woulod leave this for weekend debate before the game.

Well duh. He's Superman so he can focus his power (strength) to propel him to supersonic speed without crushing the building.

Oh, and George Reeves is the only Superman just like Basil Rathbone is the only Sherlock Holmes.
