The 2018 will be made in China and sold exclusivly at Walmart. There will not be actual repairs on this model. You'll just throw a after market part on it which will also be made in China and sold exclusivly at Walmart. The trucks will be manufactured by Frue Man Chu, a spin off of Fruehauf.

04-06 more reliable better mpg, 07 and newer are more comfortable I've been told. I think the redesign will hopefully be in 2016

2006. less finicky on fuel. greater weight capacity. easier access to stuff under the hood. newer models have more room for cargo and people space. more things to go wrong.

2018 model will be made exclusively in germany. the vehicle will automatically route itself to the nearest dealership (500 miles away) every 10,000 miles for routine service. the $200 fuel filter will be built into the engine and will only be able to be serviced at the 10,000 mile service by an authorized dealership. it will be a smart filter, and the ecm will only recognize and mate to an authorized mercedes filter. if the ecm senses that it is not in a dealership by 10,000 miles, it will self destruct. there will be a countdown timer on the dash that counts down the 10,000 miles to service, and the mileage counter will be the default view of the odometer display. the vehicle will be rated for 1000 lbs of cargo, but it will be smarter and more fuel efficient than anything out there.

by 2018 the sprinter will still be the only north american cargo van with a 14 foot cargo bed.

Yep , maybe by 2018 ,, MB can figure out how the 2500 series long & tall can legally haul 3000 lbs. with all your fuel , AC , generator , supplies .....:p

The plan is already in the works... they are going to build their new van based on the Promaster, with a few outrageously expensive parts redesigned to fail every 100,000 miles, and charge $10,000 more to buy it!

Diehard $printer buyers will still buy it, and search frantically for a way to avoid repairs at MB dealers!!!

i like 2013 have almost 50,000 in less than a year
2015 sprinter will have 15,000 to 20,000 between oil changes
all other will still have to do 10,000 between oil changes
