Going to buy a 2012 Sprinter and would like some advice from you experienced Expediters.
Will be used for Expediting.
I have a choice of two 170E's and different options so I am trying to figure out if its worth the extra $2500 for the higher $ model which has:

1) Cargo Pack- Has L track on floor and along side walls.
Extra lightning
Bluetooth
Alloy wheels
Rear springs adjust(something like that)

Is this L track ok? or am I better off just putting in E-track myself?
Bluetooth I can buy hands free. Factory worth the extra money?

Any advice appreciated!
Thanks
Steve

I would take a hard look at the ford first if you have some time. Otherwise that securement system is very good and will save some time and labor over installing track. Never used the blue tooth system in a sprinter. I know on the 07 it only worked with some German model phone and network. Most driver seem to prefer over the head type like blue parrot or blue tiger.

L-track is standard securement in air cargo. It's lightweight but very strong. It's also save some time in the long run in securing and removing securements. It's gnarly. So is factory Bluetooth.

Thanks for the advice. Can wait till Sept/Oct even though that was my original plan. Don't see price going much under 40K with diesel for Transit. Well all see soon enough.

If you want a diesel you are most likely right. You also won't need a several hundred mile tow with the ford in case of a breakdown. It is uncommon with a sprinter because of the small dealer network.

The gasoline Transit may be enough to make people forget about diesel.
