Semi-Auto Shotgun Ban

Here you go Doug Travels and any and all of my detractors. SB1195 in the IL Senate voted yes on by Obama. It would outlaw my duck gun if ever voted in as a Federal Law. The same part of the bill highlighted is in the Brady Bill.

Almost EVERY sporting semi-auto shotgun made and or sold in the United States either comes in or can be converted to a "Turkey" hunting model. All "Turkey" hunting models have either pistol or thumbhole grips to enhance accuracy to insure clean kills and fewer crippled or lost birds.

Eric Holder wants to include ALL frames that can be converted as well. My frame on my Benelli Super Black Eagle can be retro-fitted with a "Turkey" hunting stock.

See below first a picture of a Benelli Super Black Eagle that would be illegal under SB1195, which Obama voted YES on and also under the Brady Ban List which Obama favors.

Next the entire text of Bill SB1195

Next the "Offending" section on semi-auto shotguns with pistol grips

Sorry it took so long to find but I was working with lots of runs!! I was also looking for a totally non-biased source. I wanted nothing from NRA or The Brady Bunch or any group connected to any U.S. College. Just the Bill that I knew that Obama had voted yes on.

Parts of the same bill would have outlawed all of my .50 caliber MUZZLELOADER rifles. When was the last time you saw a muzzeloading rifle or shotgun used in a crime? I cannot ever recall seeing that.

Any who, this is what I based my argument on the other night. I try to look out for these things because they affect my lifestyle and freedom. I will, as in the motto of the Army Security Agency, remain "Vigilant Always".

You are now free to pick on me and ridicule me as you please. Layoutshooter

All the facts in the world won't mean anything to those who 1. don't get it or 2. are 100% indoctrinated and brainwashed already.

I am well aware of the Leo. I just wanted to prove that I was NOT making this stuff up, not paranoid, just concerned. I just could not find this the one night and then, heaven forbid, I was running hard and did not have time to find it until today.

Yes with that mass shooting back on October 16, 1859, we need to do something to stop the carnage with those Muskets.

The six who were killed and the 9 others who were wounded are a great lose to the community of Harper's Ferry.

I knew you weren't making it up as did anyone that matters. I fully understand your reason for posting it though. Who knows, maybe there are a few that aren't hopeless and can still be saved and this will help.

Amazing, even when I post the actual bill that was up before the IL senate that would have banned my duck gun, you said it was a paranoid delusion or something to that effect, Obama voted YES to outlaw thousands of every day firearms, the same parts that would have outlawed my gun in that bill are in similar gun ban bills and you still say I am paraniod. Far out man!! Like wowsville!! I guess I made up that bill and his vote and everything else. Like gee, I had no idea I was that powerful to change the pages on the IL state page. Did you even read it? Layoutshooter

I did not say it passed, I said that Obama voted YES on it. Over the next several months there will be several similar bills introduced on the Federal Level. There will be clauses in all of those bills that, if passed, will outlaw hundreds of everyday firearms. There may be the votes in the Congress this time. Based on Obama's prior voting record it is likely that he will sign such a bill. All of those up coming bills will have stealth provisions, like the pistol grip clause, that will outlaw every day, non assault weapon fireams. This anti-gun movement has be slowly moving forward since the mid '60's and every few years , bit by bit, they take away a little more of our freedoms. Just like the frog on the stove.

"And the beat goes on" just a song quote for you.

Just because I choose to keep an eye on these things, follow the patterns both through out history around the world and in this country does not mean I am paranoid or a gun nut or stupid. It just means that I pay attention to what is going on around me and choose not to bury my head in the sand.

It also amazes me that Obama voted AGAINST laws that would have increased penilties for CRIMES commmitted by CRIMINALS that use guns during crimes. If he is all about crime control why would he do that?

The point seemed pretty clearly to be Obama supporting gun control legislation that is very sweeping and wide reaching. The point isn't whether it passed in that iteration. The point is that he supports it and desires it's passage. If being clear and knowledgeable about what's going on and not deceived by or supporting the wrong side is a superiority complex then I guess I'm superior.

Not to HiJack the thread, but most people understand the the liberal Dems in our government want Gun Control and barry is all for gun control and has voted for every gun control bill that he had the chance to as a IL senator.

We also know that the libs want an "assault weapons ban" it would have already been on the floor, but nancy stepped on it as the "wrong time" earlier this year....well it looks like the time might be right....nancy is having problems, holder want the ban as does barry (based on his history of voting) so lookie here:

Gillibrand to face another test on gun control

Gillibrand to face another test on gun control -- Newsday.com

WASHINGTON - Since her appointment to the Senate, one-time NRA favorite Kirsten Gillibrand has passed just about every test on guns set by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy - but that might change next week.

As the junior senator from New York, the upstate Democrat has undergone a transformation, moving quickly in the past three months away from her House record that won the NRA's top rating while remaining a supporter of Second Amendment rights to gun ownership.

She even jumped ahead of McCarthy, who reintroduced her bill closing the gun-show loophole at a news conference Wednesday, by co-sponsoring the Senate version of that measure two weeks ago.

But McCarthy said that next week she plans to introduce an assault weapons ban - legislation that is anathema to the NRA and that could pose a problem for Gillibrand.

"I think the assault weapons bill will be a test," McCarthy said Wednesday in an interview.

Gillibrand had no comment Wednesday on legislation that hasn't been introduced, said her spokesman Matt Canter.

"The senator is focused on working with anti-crime advocates, New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, the Brady Campaign and [New York City Police] Commissioner Ray Kelly and others on anti-trafficking legislation to stop the flow of illegal guns," he said.

Measure for measure, Gillibrand has matched McCarthy's support for gun control since being appointed in January, when she was bitterly attacked by McCarthy on guns.

Most recently, Gillibrand signed on to the Senate version of the bill that McCarthy and Rep. Mike Castle (R-Del.) introduced Wednesday, which would require dealers at gun shows to conduct background checks.

The bill could be crowded out by an already overflowing agenda, McCarthy admitted. Its fate is largely up to Congressional leaders, President Barack Obama and, as always, opposition from the powerful National Rifle Association.

McCarthy, the seventh term Mineola Democrat whose signature issue is gun control, Wednesday acknowledged the shift by Gillibrand to win approval from gun-control groups.

"She actually has been signing things we have been sending over to her," McCarthy said. "And I am very happy about it. I just want to make sure she stays there."

So she said she will keep up the pressure on Gillibrand.

In addition to the assault gun ban, McCarthy said she still intends to run a Democratic primary challenge in 2010.

But she said she will step aside if someone younger and just as passionate about gun control announces for the seat.

From the start, McCarthy said, "I felt I had to speak up, but I was hoping somebody else would step forward to run. To be honest with you, yes, I think somebody younger should run. Hopefully they'll be there a long time to represent the state of New York."

Now does the fact that the bill is being "introduced" again mean it will move pasted that? Who knows, but the fact is our government and this adminatration is looking for more gun control and looking to ban weapons............

Sooner or later this Anti-Constitution bill will pass UNLESS we keep an eye out for it and fight it tooth and nail. These people that are running this country are vile. They have no business being in the postitions that they are in, ANY of them. Layoutshooter
