What's to be made fun of is your original statement, which was without qualification of which resources were available to you at the time you made the statement, that you couldn't "figure out how to email the attachments to Lawrence." Taken as presented, it was ripe for being made fun of. It was kind of like doing technical support with someone who says, "When I click on it, it doesn't work." Uhm, okay. Not a lot of information to go on for troubleshooting in that one.
Yours was a statement that begged several questions, one of which I posed (in an effort to get you to expound on why you couldn't figure it out, and as it turns out the effort worked). Sorry if my humor missed the mark.
