So, back in 2007 I bought this scooter after my engine blew in my car. I rode it for a year. Then i got a new car and its pretty much sat in my garage since 2008. I am trying to get it started and the darn thing just doesn't want to start. To make it worse. its Chinese....lol...Chinese scooters are famous for being pieces of poo.

Well, I've been working on this thing since November trying to get it started. Since I don't drive anymore for work i am gonna sell my car and get a new bike. I want to keep this scooter to drive when it rains....

I cleaned the carb a few weeks ago, bought a new battery and added new fuel too it. I tried to start it again today and it still doesn't want to start...

YouTube - Still won't start (Any ideas?)

Any ideas? lol

Check for ....fuel....spark......compression...if you have all three it will do something....so your obviously missing something of the 3.....my guess is the carb....(fuel).....what and how did you clean it???

I took the carb completely apart. I didn't spray carb cleaner in it. I just made sure there was nothing clogged in the valves or lines.

How do i check the compression?

Take the spark plug out put your finger over the hole ...crank it if there's good compression you will feel it...my guess again It is the carb....try spraying a little carb cleaner in it as u crank.it ...if it tries to fire.....then its Ur carb....

Have you checked to make sure the fuel line is turned on?
I once wore out my arm trying to pull start a gas powered air compressor that I had turned off the fuel line.

check and see if you have fuel in the bottom of the carb. if fuel in there then it is your carb. needs a good cleaning . if not it is in your fuel line .

i would say it is the carb . because if you left gas in it . gas evaporates. and when it does it leave residue. gummy stuff . color like tea.

if you dont want to tear it all a part . get i can if carb cleaner . 2+2 works good . get some sea foam . put sea foam in tank overnight. spray 2+2 in carb while trying to start and to keep running . if it runs on its own put sea foam in a spray bottel spary in carb while motor is running . .

sea foam is good stuff . i have a 98 4x4 . 4x4 wasnt working . found out 4x4 is vacumed ran . so i put sea foam in vacum line . 4x4 has worked ever since .
my car was not running just right . i sparyed sea foam in air intake while running car runs like new

When I took the carb apart there was very little gas in it. I did however see the tea looking gummy stuff. It wasn't a lot but it was there. I'm definitely gonna try some of that sea foam.

I am also gonna take the fuel pump apart and look inside it. It has four screws and the top comes off. See if i can clean it out.

:D

no on the fuel pump . clean the carb first . the fuel pump is to simple . . when you have the carb all apart let it sook in the sea foam . or the have regeal carb sooking stuff . which after you leave carb in over night it looks like a new one next day . gets in to all the little holes . and eats the gummy stuff . sea foam should do the same but i not sure if you want to sook over night . i never tried it . make sure no matter what you only have metal parts to sock or spray . because some stuff will eat at the non metal stuff . and wear good gloves . i was stupid and washed stuff in gas one day only a hour or so . now when i get stuff like that on my hands it burns real bad .
my spelling is not to good tonight . and i not useing spel check either
a quick fix would be the needle in the bowl . spray stuff in the hole that is where the fuel comes in make sure the needle move freely in the hole . make sure the float is not out of adjestment put back to gether and it will run . it may miss but ran a tank or 2 of sea foam clear it up or spary in carb while it is running , like i said quick fix . but if you tear it all a part still check the needle moves freely and the float is right . shack the float . if you hear slushing around float is no good . if needle sticks when in the hole and the sides of hole are clear need new needle . which comes in most carb rebuid kits. which you should already have . and i know you already have it right LOL if not go get one most i got the most was 10 bucks .
