The final performance was (is at this moment) being streamed live on YouTube.

It marks the end on an era. 146 years.

After tonight, if we want to see a bunch of clowns, all we have left is CNN.

Ya just had to go there, didn't Ya!
Sheesh!

;)
It was an easy cheap shot. Couldn't let it pass. :p

The show is definitely worth watching, though. It'll be on YouTube in-full.

They just did some stuff on horseback that was insane. And watching those women ice skate, on stilts, was a holy crap moment.

The Shriners still put on a circus here in Michigan.

I wonder what will happen with them.

There are several smaller circuses that will still be around. And completely different circus models, like Cirque du Soleil, which came out of nowhere 30 years ago, and it was a different way of looking at circuses, a different way of touring it, because it wasn't on a train, it didn't have animals. But they just can't be as big as Ringling.

A major rock show travels on about 8 tractor-trailer trucks. Disney on Ice travels on 12 trucks. Ringling Bros traveled on 60 railroad cars, which is the equivalent of 120 trucks.

Tragedy. So sad to see this legacy tradition leave under political pressure.
