I have a load that needs to be delivered from the US into quebec. It will be picked up a few days later and brought back to the United States. A freight broker is handing the manifests and clearance of customs both ways.
what other registrations will I need to legally operate? We operate under our own USDOT authority and are not for hire.
I have the CBSA carrier code as you can no longer be issued one at the border. Since we are under 26000gvw IFTA and IRP do not apply. Driver has passport, medical, 14day log history and clean criminal record.
additionaly what paperwork will they check at the border and which would be subject to inspection at a weigh station? This would be a short haul from the NY border to Montreal.
