In anticipation of a regional shortage of fuel products, including gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, propane and home heating oil due to refinery delays and interruption of delivery through pipelines as a result of damage from Tropical Storm Harvey, FMCSA has declared a REGIONAL EMERGENCY DECLARATION for 26 States and the District of Columbia.

Motor carriers and drivers providing direct assistance to the emergency transporting fuel products into and from these States and jurisdictions are granted emergency relief from 49 CFR Parts 390 through 399.

For further details, and to obtain regularly updated resources, links and information for commercial motor vehicle carriers and drivers related to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey, see: Hurricane Harvey 2017.

What about motor carriers and drivers that will be taking it in shorts that aren't involved in "direct assistance to the emergency transporting fuel products" where the fsc doesn't catch up with the drastic hike in fuel prices?
