Refusal of Discounted Loads

The following is a copy of my post on Joe's site:

Well I did it again! I refused a load for PPG picking up in Santa Fe Springs going to Nogales. 538 miles for $489. And since I am on the Calif lock, I would have deadheaded home to add another 568 to that, coming to just over 1100 miles, which breaks down to .45/ mile, plus well over 24 hours driving. This is my 4th or 5th refusal (maybe even more) this year because of these discounted loads. Anybody else refusing these loads? One of the main theme's of this site is solidarity amongst us to refuse these loads, then the companies will be forced to raise the rates. I hope we are practicing what we preach on this site, & not just blowing hot air. I'm doing my part...

yeah,my fleet turns them down too! cant make any money on that junk, cant keep drivers either if I expect them to.
Hang tough, sooner or later it has to pay dividends, and even if it doesnt, let someone else go bankrupt kissing butt.
