Due to a rumor I read on another forum, I sent the following note to the customer service department at AUX generators.. as I figured our drivers needed to know!

I got this answer....

Yes parts are being liquidated for the current products. Should you wish to
receive parts please call 1-800-700-2865, or e-mail your request as to what
parts you want to purchase.

Thank you

dreamer, thanks for the heads up.this is GREAT news.....NOT x( x( x( .as we have only had our aux for about 14 months its hard to say what to purchase now that you wont be able to get later. they use the kubota engine so all engine parts should be readily available thru kubota. napa sells all the filters,so thats no problem.the a/c compressor is probably one that can be found fairly easily as is the alternator.so that leaves very little left. probably the electronic controllers is a good thing to pick up.(we've already had ours replaced once)probably the best thing to do is just run them till they no longer operate(that shouldn't take long !!)and then purchase a unit that actually does what its supposed to do. that's just my opinion, but i'm RIGHT !!!. Great post, thanks for the info. Better buy those unusual parts now and keep them for the day they fail. You cannot be over prepared for that rainey day? You ever notice how nothing ever fails when the weather is good and you have time and parts to make the repair yourself? Nobody wants to see a company fail. All generator companies have had there problems. Thanks again!

Just for info, for those who have them...

there's a lot of commonly used parts on those AUX units,

like the General Motors alternator (my '95 Chevy pickup uses the exact same alternator),

and the Sanden 508 A/C compressor.

As far as the A/C drier goes, an automotive A/C parts specialist should be able to match one up.

Belts can be matched up to Gates numbers and purchased anywhere.

Oil filters can be cross-referenced, and a Carrier transport refrigeration dealer carries oil filters for Kubota engines.

Fuel & air filters- well, until you can find a cross reference for them, you may want to stock up on them.

Other parts, like mounting brackets, can be fabricated- I've had to do this on a few parts that broke on mine.

I'd suggest that anyone who owns an AUX unit get themselves a wiring schematic, as it's quite possible that some of the older units may need electrical work. I still have mine, although I sold my unit a few months back

Hope this helps some of you!

What's a Tag along? I'm assuming another generator?

They were a short lived company that was using Dave Nemo as a sponsor for a short while. They sold an inferior product and then promptly went out of business. Kept peoples money and got out of town.
To Dave Nemos credit, he did an outstanding job in rectifying the situation through other suppliers and vendors. He is a class act for stepping up to the plate when he didn't have to.
