1. How much down time is an average?
2. What is the trick to the pay per mile, told would be paid $1.60
for full trailer...$1.20 for half trailer...true or not?
3. How much home time?
4. What is your average miles per week?
5. Are you busy driving or waiting?
Thanks for the help....:)

SOUNDS LIKE YOU JUMPED IN WITHOUT DOING YOUR HOMEWORK. BAD IDEA. BUT FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH, I KNOW THAT PANTHER II PAYS $1.55 LOADED AND .75 EMPTY. MY FREINDS ARE AVE. $3500 WEEK, SOLO. I KNOW TST PAYS $1.00 LOADED AND EMPTY, AND GARUNTEED 2500 MILES WEEK, SOLO. HOPE THIS HELPS

I agree with the other guy's reply. You should have had a business plan LONG before you spent your money. Even so, Conway Now had a good looking plan for Tractors when I looked. It was $1.05 for all miles. I don't know of a better plan on paper, but I have never worked for them.
I think that next time you want to "BUY a job" try landscaping because mistakes are treated with less severe consequences than the trucking business. Don't get me wrong,(I was steered into this business myself) Trucks are fun to own and drive. Heck if I was rich I would maybe do the show truck thing, But, driving 24/7 is another story.
THINK ABOUT IT......IF TRUCKING WAS EASY AND AN EASY WAY TO GET RICH THEN MORE ATTORNEYS WOULD BE TRUCKERS!
GOOD LUCK

Life is what happens to you while your busy makeing other plans.
