Hello! I own a ford transit 250 high roof. My MC went 90 days yesterday. I am struggling to find loads. What am I doing wrong. I have multiple dispatchers. I live 15 mins outside of Atlanta. So it’s not like I’m in the middle of nowhere. Everytime o speak to a dispatch company, they always promise the world, and then 2:00-3:00 comes around and they have offered me 1 load. What am I doing wrong ? I’ve probably sent 100 carrier packets to brokers over the last few months. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m on the verge of loosing everything

Hello - have you thought about signing on with a carrier? When you say dispatcher, I'm taking that as working with different brokers. If that is the case, they don't really have any motivation to keep you busy. I used to work on the shipper side of things. We would not work with a carrier if they had under 10 trucks and we would only use brokers as a last resort. Based on what I've seen over the years, the progression is usually owner operator signed on with a carrier - grow (hopefully) and become fleet owner. When you've built up enough, then you might strike out on your own. Hope it works out for ya.

Hey there—sorry you’re dealing with this. One thing you might look at is your lane strategy and timing. Vans like a Transit 250 (especially high roof) can do well if you target expedited freight or last-mile local contracts. Instead of relying only on dispatchers, try checking direct shipper opportunities around Atlanta—there’s a lot of freight there if you can market yourself. Also consider load boards that specialize in sprinter/van work. It might also help to narrow down your dispatchers to one you really trust, so they have more incentive to keep you rolling. The market is tough, but consistent relationships and specialization can make a big difference. Good luck out there.

Your doing nothing wrong. This is the reality of this business, but people keep wanting to jump on board. Hope things pick up for you. I would go with the advice of signing on to a carrier.
