Hi Brad, you have an E unit. The rundown goes like this, A unit is a mini van, B is a full size cargo van, C is a cube van, D is a straight truck, either single or dual rear axle, E is a tractor unit. Welcome to this forum. Jim Bunting Field Editor.
What you can do is remove the fifth wheel,extend the frame and put a 22-24 ft box on it,that would qualify as a d unit,Manyy O/Os have done that and that way they have the comfort and power of a tractor but don!t have to haul a trailer around.
