Permits

Trying to figure out a way to make sure our permits are up to date. It is easy to forget the permit book in the pocket of the door.

One way I read was to check permits daily as part of pre trip

One way was when we down load logs from QC to check permits

The way that I am going to use is to write when permits expire in my budget book. This I think will work out well as when I pay a bill that is not due each month I make sure and go forward in my budget book to when it will be due again and write it down. We will see if this really will work for permits.

Anyone else have any ideas that work for them?

I went thru my permit book and made an entry for each one a week prior to its expiration date in Google calendar. I set it to notify me all day so that each time I looked at my phone that day I would remember to print out the new permit.

Once I put the new one in, I go ahead and put an entry for the next year's expiration date in the calendar.

I also made entries for insurance, ifta, and truck registration (cab card).

leezaback when you get your permits or you print your permits you print them on colored paper? That is a great idea and it would make it a lot easier to look through.

Great Tip!
