A good driver, a good smart driver knows that our economy isn't doing well right now and knows how to adapt.:7 Most of the Corporations or Companies that need freight do not want to stock pile anything. No company is going to spend money to let freight sit in a corner. That means they are only shipping enough freight to get by. That means more runs, and that means more work for the expediter. Most of the companies are holding alot of meetings right now, trying to brainstorm and come up with workable solution to the problem.
It's real easy to throw in the towel,x( and shift the blame to someone else. It may be to hard for some guys to have to think alittle, and to plan more thorough.
We all know the old saying: Only the strong survive.:7 So right now is the time to be strong, and if that means to deadhead longer miles then so be it, I do what ever I have to do to make it work. Just remember: DO NOT JEOPARDIZE YOUR DIGNITY OR YOUR INTEGRITY.
We know who will be around to buy chrome and lights from those that can't make it.
