Oh how I love detention...let me count the ways!

I have been sitting here in Wilmington, NC ready to pick up since 1030 am...first few hours went by quick as there was another team hear to get a load and since this was their first load EVER the wife and I talked their ears off and hopefully gave them alot of pointers...really nice couple, they were!
I can't sleep as I slept all night while the wife drove and did a dropoff...such a good girl she is!
The log dept started me on my paperless logs yesterday!!! DAMM THEM. lol. They start me on them and then disappear for the weekend....and the fact I have to keep paper ones also for 2 weeks...what's weird is the mileage that I write down at the end of each switch DOES NOT match up to what it says we have done at the end of the day and wifey messed up and logged me in ...oh I hate these things already!

So how is everyone tonight?

Sounds like you are having lots of fun already with the paperless logs.x( x(
We were supposed to start with the logs on Thursday but something went wrong because of the odometer reading so until they straighten it out we are just on regular logs. So far no news on when they will be able to fix the problem.
They claim the odometer reading will not match what is on your truck - which has me totally confused. :9 If it does not match, why have it!
The only thing I can say is, GOOD LUCK!!

Oh they do...they do! lol. We finally got out of the shipper at 0245! Then come to find out from the gaurd there that I-40 is closed around the 212 exit because of sinkholes...so rerouting we go! 750 miles later we make our stopoff and then on to the cons just to find out its closed til Mon morn. sitting in the TA in Cincinnati doing laundry right now. but it looks like I'll lose the 200 miles load we were pre-booked on for 0930. bummer
and as for helping other drivers out...ALWAYS!!! it's a completely selfish reason haha...if they do good, then my company does good, which means more customers for them and more loads for me! see how I am? lol.

AND THOSE DANG PAPERLESS LOGS BITE!!!
Both the wife and i are in violation of every DOT HOS rule there is on the book...according to the constant loud chirping from the QC.
I can't WAIT to get the call from log dept tomorrow morning when they start looking thru the logs and totally freak out. thats gonna be a fun phone call!
