Hi Everyone
I am new to this site and appreciate any help/information I can get.
I am a former O/O running a Class A truck. Mostly oversize loads.
I have been out of the game for 5 years, took a desk job.

I am thinking about getting into the Expediting game running a van/sprinter type truck.
Everything I am reading says it is a very competitive market and low pay rates.

I am located in southeastern Michigan. I have no issue with traveling in and out of Canada.
I have a work permit for Canada.
One question I have is what is the rate per mile for O/O's in Vans/Sprinter trucks? What are the fee's for brokering loads?
Also, is it better to get your own authority or run with an established company?
I had my own authority previously. I got out before because of the price of fuel, but that has definitely changed for the better.

Thanks in advance for any advice/information.

Don't do a sprinter/van. You got the Class A get yourself a Straight Truck or driver for someone with one to see if you want to go over the road.

Thanks Tobster

Is the Market that flooded right now with sprinter/vans??
I'm not opposed to a straight truck. Just don't want to drive the big trucks again.

Every time I talk to a van/sprinter driver, they say the same thing. A straight truck isn't that big and it's a lot easier to park then a semi. Are you going solo or team. If you are going solo, I say get back into a semi.
