Hello Guys I am new to the expediting industry. I am going to be driving for a fleet owner that's going to pay me 55% of what that van makes so I was wondering how much can I make after paying for fuel and how many miles on my going to get like an approximate I am going to drive for Panther.

My fleet owner's contract with Panther is $.70 a mile
Also guys if you have any advice for me as a new driver on the road please help thank you

Do the math.....55% x .70 cents----- .385 per load mile. ( not empty milies )

In your case it is not so much about how much you'll earn, but how much you will keep. The savvy van drivers are acutely aware of the potential for freight proximate to the delivery location before accepting a load offer. Excessive deadhead while chasing your next load could leave little revenue to pay for your fuel and food. Spend as much time as you can to learn the ropes from your owner who can only gain through your successes. Spend a lot of time talking also to your fellow Panther van drivers. A common trait with van drivers is that they will help you if you ask. Good luck for your success.
