I cannot express enough how explosive natural gas can be. It will blow you into eternity in a heart beat. There is no whoops,,, you are gone immediately. Just like the buildings in the above article, poof and they were gone. Gas fills every crevice, nook and openings.
Gas lines can and do leak. If you smell rotten eggs,,get the hzll out of there, its natural gas. If you do not smell it, well you are probably ok, but you can spray a mixture of water and liquid soap on pipe joints just to check it, it will bubble if leaking, but most likely you will smell it....
Do not work on your home unit if it is a gas fired unit or oil fired*********** please call a technician...............................
