Is there a certain area that seems to pay the best or have the most freight? Ive read many messages that stated about beeing in the right place, at the right time?

Depends on who you are leased to and what type freight they handle. But, generally, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois are among the best states to get a load.

It all depends on WHO you are leased to. Some companies will give you a premium to go to undesirable places like NYC, NJ, Long Island & Canada. But I agree you will have the best luck in OH IN MI IL.

Sure, some centers produce more business than others. However, with Roberts you are usually given 2 options for layover after making a delivery. If they don't look good, you can always head for home. If you decide to get into this business, just go with the flow for awhile. Talk to other drivers, and pretty soon you will have a system that suits you.
