Uncle John's in St. Johns is also cool....US27 north of Lansing. Lewis Farm Market on US31 in Shelby for us west-siders.

It's that time of year here in Michigan.

That's right, the cider mills are open.

This is my favorite -- Franklin Cider Mill

Love the stuff. There's one over by where I reside, near Freeland MI.

Grew up in Old Thresher town located in Iowa.

Midwest Old Settlers & Threshers

They always had great cider, sorghum, and the 3 foot old fashioned licorice whips.

Cider always brings back memories of riding the train around the facility, watching the old west shootouts, and of course....chasing the girls. :D

Odd that a Mod edited this post 18 months after it was posted.
Did we miss something exciting?

Editing history gets deleted after, I dunno, 6 months or a year something like that. So I can't see the edit or who did it It was probably pretty benign, whatever it was. My guess would be an edit to clean up the link to make it clickable, something like that, but you'd think that wouldn't have taken 18 months to discover.

A few more years have passed, but it's time again for that Michigan delicacy..... cider and fresh hot donuts!
Be sure to social distance and wear a mask.
