Our recent winter storm where we got 11-15 inches of snow across the state and on Major Interstates, I 44 was a real parking lot, Neither cars or Trucks moved for 11 hours, the Drivers of semis were out of hours and many just climbed into the bunk and called it a night, Thousands were trapped and HP and MODOT were out all night taking people Food and Drinks and Gasoline to keep cars running. HP officers tried to wake drivers up and make them drive but soon realized the ELD mandates and out of hours drivers and rigs were stuck on the highway, It was a pretty bad snowstorm and we got like 9 inches of very heavy and wet snow in a couple hours and then it froze...most of the interstates around St Louis were p[arking lots with most ramps unpassable....The Blizzard of 19 was a nasty surprise...
