Looking to get into Hot Shotin'

I've been doing some small hot shot runs for a company making only 10 an hour in the Houston, TX area, and was considering buying a dually and flat bed trailer, other than the rig, what other costs should i expect to get started? Also how does the insurance work, does the company i do the runs for take care of that, or am i required to have that myself. Any info would be great!

Thanks,
Jon
