When we started going to bases a lot and getting searched I realized my way of stashing some emergency cash in the truck was not going to work.
We purchased a lock box that is somewhat fire proof and water proof and will help to protect the contents in case of an accident.
The lock box has never been questioned and I have never had to open it for an officer.
It is comforting to know we have a little emergency cash and if something was to happen to our phones we would at least have some phone numbers. Funny with Speed Dial we do not phone numbers anymore.
We bought the box at a Lowes or Home Depot and it fits in a corner out of the way.
