I am considering entering the expediting field and would like to test the waters ,so to speak, by driving for someone else. I am interested in driving a van. Are there any special license's required? I have 16 years previous driving experience as a Rural Letter Carrier and wonder if this helps in seeking employment. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

If you are looking to drive a van all you will need is a CDL class C license with the Hazmat endorsement. At least that is the requirement here in Ohio. If you want to drive a straight truck you will need a Class B with the air brake endorsement added also.

Any of these tests are fairly easy as long as you read the book.
