Las Vegas RV Park

We just spent another weekend in our truck at the KOA Kampground (SIC) in Las Vegas. The freight left us in town for a couple days. Idling is not permitted. Generators are not either in quiet time hours (evenings). But if you have shore power in the truck and like Las Vegas, this is a great place to stay. The campground is across the street from the Circus Circus hotel and casino. Walk one long block and you are on Las Vegas Blvd (the strip). When the weather is good, you can walk the strip for exercise and entertainment (seeing the sights, people watching) without spending a dime.

If you do not have shore power, an alternative would be to stay in one of the casinos on or near the strip where truck parking is available.

A couple of times We stayed at a Casino called Whiskey Petes. It is about 15 miles west of Las Vegas on I 15. They have plenty of truck parking and when you show your CDL you get a great room for about $30.00. They have a monorail that takes you from the Hotel across the highway to a pretty decent shopping area. Like most Casinos you can get a decent steak dinner for about $9.00.
