I think the engine survived, but half of the engine oil disappeared. I'm surprised the engine didn't run away.

It would have been great to have it run away as you pulled it into the shop.

I pulled the hoses off of the intercooler before starting it.

I later pulled the intercooler and drained it. Two quarts came out.

A compression test showed good, even compression across all four, and there's no indication that anything else is damaged, so it's getting a new turbo and a good scrubbing.
