I mentioned in a POST once that when I needed decals removed I went to Freightliner. I also said how good it was.

Well, as many of you know, I have left Express-1 and am selling the last remaining truck I had there. To put it on the lot I had to have decals removed. I was watching Spiffy easily clear these things off in seconds. He would spray something on and then easily push a straight edge behind it and wala! Clean as a whistle. I tried it. I did not even require pressure. The straight edge is pretty much used just so you are not using your hands. It was so easy I almost took over the job. Thank goodness I caught myself.

It is Orange oil. That was it. Well that is what he told me it was. If in fact it was I suggest anybody needing to do this try it. If he added something to it, I was not told of it. I have taken off a lot of decals and never as easily as with that stuff. It sure seems worth a shot.

I spent the better part of a day, removing Conway Signage off my truck.

I only suceeded in getting one side done, and 2 doors. I feel like somebody has beaten me with a base ball bat. Hot Sun, Standing on a extension ladder until your feet feel like they are coming off.

I tried just about everything, "Goof Off", "Citrus Oil" "Acetone" "Laquer Thinner", and the only thing that has worked so far has
been a heat gun and plastic scaper. I take a razor and score the sign in strips, being careful not to score the finish also, which by the way is not easy to do. Then I heat the strips and try to pull them off.

What a pain in the rear!!! The decals that Conway uses are wide as a frickin barn, and are made out of a plastic mylar film, that resists
penetration by any type of adhesive remover.

I probably will be working with this a couple of more days, before I get them all off, including the rear door.

Thank God the next company I'm leasing with only put a sign on the door.
