Homemade Air Freshner

This is easy to make:

small open mouthed jar
baking soda
essential oil
tin foil

I found the small jar at Michaels and have about 1/4 cup of baking soda in jar and a few drops of essential oil.

I like the tin foil on the jar for a just in case it falls over. The jar is kept in the closet with our clothes and to reactivate it I give the jar a shake. If I think the smell is getting weak I add a few more drops of oil.

Doesn't the baking soda counter the oil since the idea of it is to absorb orders?

Guess not it works really well. When I add the oil I use a fork to mix it in and break up any clumps.

Cotton balls or cosmetic sponges in the jar would work well also..
