I've seen similar vids of people getting cochlear implants turned on for the first time, which I imagine this is, though they weren't hearing themselves but their family. The reaction is always very similar; immediate tears, shock, or both. Hard to imagine what that's like.

It is a great thing when people hear, got to take care of your hearing. The use of microelectronics in the medical world has made leaps and bounds and this is just one of many examples of how it has helped people.

I hope advances continue to be made. I love Judas Priest too much to keep my hearing.
