Golf: Seve Ballesteros dies

Seve Ballesteros, one of golf's most gifted and charismatic players, has died after a long battle with cancer.

The 54-year-old passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Pedrena, northern Spain, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Ballesteros was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2008 after losing consciousness at Madrid Airport.

It is a sad day. He will be missed the world over. A true gentleman on and off the course. I know Sergio Garcia will be devastated over this. Seve was his mentor in Sergio's early career.

I loved the guy's style:p
Drop a water hazard and take a penalty??? Nope
Take your socks off and "Tin Cup" (get ankle deep in the cool water and implode for the final 6 of the masters)....
Sounds like something I would do:D
The guy was a "class act"...
