When entering the information on the fuel pump when it asks for trailer number we enter the odometer reading.

This becomes my "check" number in Quicken for easy reference

Just asking...
Why the miles and not a T.O. or Pro# ? Im Thinking Pro or T.O. would refer straight back to the load or what your looking at or for? But I dont know why ya need to refer back to a fuel receipt once its paid??
Dont mean to sound stuipt but just curious.

I use the mileage basically as a check number in my Quicken so that if I did need to find it I can.

After I get the receipt I add what the actual cost of the fuel was after the discount.
How much the fuel discount was
How much the fuel cost per gallon

I have never tracked fuel by the load so do not add the bill number to this.

If needed I could easily go back though and marry up the fuel receipt with the bill number
