Forum participation...or lack of

There was recent posr regarding how each forum member, or guest, par-ticipates in the on going "debate", as it pertains to expediting. I
just got home this afternoon, after two and a half weeks on the road.
During this period, I don't believe I was in a place where internet
access was available easily. I would appreciate hearing from you folks who have made the investment for the equipment to gain internet
access through your cell phone. Remember, there are only three kinds
of people in the world: Those thst amke things happen; those that
watch things happen; and those who wonder what happened. I guess I
would fall into the "watchers" group.

Stop at any Petro, check with sprint, or go to the Sprintpcs.com website and check out their plans. I bought the Sanyo 4900 and got the 500 anytime minutes with unlimited night & weekend for $45 a month. $10 more gets you the PCS vision which is necessary for the internet. You can access the internet with just the phone but it's slow. Better with a laptop, or whatever you use. But first, and I mean first, go to ebay and see if you can buy the cable that connects the phone to the computer. Sprint no longer makes the cable because they said it clogs up the internet. If you get the cable, (about $20 + $10 shipping) the internet works much better. I haven't had any problems and I've had it a month. Also, if you buy the plan and the phone at the Petro, they set up the phone and it's so much easier than talking to a tech on the phone and sitting on hold, know what I mean? My brother has the same setup and so does another driver friend of mine and we all love it. Only problem you might have is if you wind up too far from an interstate and you get into roaming. Haven't had that problem yet. But the phone won't roam if you set it to Sprint only. But if your in range you get unlimited anytime internet for the $10 PCS Vision plan, and it doesn't use any of your 500 minutes. Check it out. Hope this has been a help to you, it's much better than searching for a park n' view plug that works.

My wife and I use the Srint PCS wireless aircard. It's a little more costly but it works great. Plugs into your laptop and requires no telephone. Also much faster than the phone hookup. good luck in your search to stay connected!

Freightchaser...we also use the Sprint PCS card and it is great!! Bought ours at the Sprint Booth at Louisvile Truck Show. $100 a month for unlimited use and we got the card for free. Has some limits as far as reception while going down the road, but works great while sitting. We recommend it.:7 :7 ;-)
