its great news..

The MKC is currently built at the Louisville Assemby Plant, and Ford has made it clear that there were never any plans to close that facility or reduce its workforce. The company has said publicly that it would shift MKC production so that it could produce more Escapes in Louisville.

Ford credited Trump's policies for its decision to keep producing the MKC in Louisville.

"Today, we confirmed with the President-elect that our small Lincoln utility vehicle made at the Louisville Assembly Plant will stay in Kentucky," Ford said in a release issued late Thursday. "We are encouraged that President-elect Trump and the new Congress will pursue policies that will improve U.S. competitiveness and make it possible to keep production of this vehicle here in the United States."

the question is.....where are they going to increase production of the Escape?...currently besides KY also Mexico and Japan for their Asian markets....

so its a move to make Ford look good as there was never going to be jobs lost but in fact maybe there might be, but that fact is hidden in the dust, because they will increase production at any of the 2 out of country plants and possibly employ more people over there ..these companies don't do anything that will disadvantage them...

Here's an article from the Wall Street Journal that cuts to the heart of the matter with no political spin.

Still, keeping the Lincoln output in Kentucky means Ford will make future investments in tooling or other factory enhancements needed to make the MKC in the U.S., rather than reroute that capital to Mexico.

retooling for the Escape and increasing production, spending said capital, would have yielded the same results...at this point in the news we lost the Escapes increased production....and Trump and Ford get hyped press...and back slaps all around....I am NOT saying this is not great news cause it is...we keep the Lincoln....its a move in the right direction...for the right reason as Mr Ford stated...
