Can anyone who works for Panther in a straight truck tell me about their experience in Florida? As far as getting a load out of the Orlando area, how long did you have to wait and are they decent loads? We took a load to Miami over Thanksgiving and it gave us an EM to Orlando so we took it. Not too many choices out here for boards. Never been to Florida, so I'm not sure about this one. Any advice??? Thanks!!!

FL is always iffy but we have only dh to ga once in last two yrs. Ie: took load to Pensacola area on nov19,07 and out from tallasshee FL nov20,07 to cleveland oh for del on 21st.Panama city use to be a good place inFL for panther don't know about now? Have always done better in pan handle and your closer to brmingham if you need to move(like still sittin mon night after 9pm) Good luck

The traditional view is that there isn't nearly as much freight coming out of Fl as going in. There are certainly loads coming out, but DH is a strong possibility, so you might want to factor that into the decision of whether to take a load int Fl.

I drive for Panther and almost always get loads out of Florida. I've got relatives that live down there and actually if I am dropping in Atlanta I will head south towards Inverness and pull loads out of Tampa or Orlando. I've also been hit with loads going from Jacksonville to Miami. I've had a couple of loads that p/u in Largo, Fl at a place called Kramski and taken them to N. Charleston, SC. I never seem to spend more than a day or so when I'm down there since not many vans go down there. But then again, I have had to dh to Atlanta to get loads but so far that has only been twice. <<there is a Flying J that may be helpful off of I 75 the exit for SR 52. It goes thru Hudson, FL. or even try to sit in Jacksonville I usually get hit there about 2 or 3 in the afternoon.
