Fleet owner trying to keep escrow

Some of these fleet owners think they are above the law. Anybody got Any ideas what I should also sue for? Revenge will be sweet.

Sue??? are you kidding it will cost you more to get a lawyer and all that. If they dont give you your money back just sit back and wait they will surface and when they do you get it then. If they got any Morals and Respect, Any fortitude.
Lie down in the grass and look at the evening stars. Listen , Watch and it will come to pass.

Patience it will come & let it Pass.

They will be Judged in the End the meeting is already setup.

i would tell him if you don't give me my money i'm sending irs a 1099 for income and the state he lives in because he hasn't claim this as income
also i would check with irs this stealing

Just two sentences in the OP and immediately the Fleet Owner is the bad guy

What reason is the Fleet Owner giving to hold on to the escrow?

Is there a clause in the contract that escrow can be held for x days after a driver leaves?

and so on and so forth .....

Details are needed. How long were you in the truck ? Did you give notice ? Did you return the truck ? Clean ?
What does your contract say about return of escrow ?
Why does owner say he is entitled to keep it ?
How much money is involved ?

one more thing join ooida and tell them about , they will help out
also put a lien on his truck and house and everything he owns
tell him i'm getting state involue in this
also make a deal with a collection agent to get your money
when i was a paper boy in upstate new york a customer wouldn't pay me
went to sheriff and we collected my money owed
he was surprizred as was only 12 years old
also had a friend that owe me money from high school he me iou for 5.00 dollars
i collected at 1st class reunion 5 years later, with int 25.00 if he brought
1st round we would call it even gave him iou paid in full
you owe me .05 i'm going to collect

Truck was returned cleaner than received. Escrow was for in case of an accident. Return of escrow after two notice is for filled $500. He claims he's keeping for himself. He now has truck listed back on here.

Truth in leasing regulations state that he will have up to 45 days to pay you back you're escrow. After that, open season on him.

Well a carrier has 45 days to refund to an IC.
Isn't this a leasing company ( ala Penske) leasing a unit to a driver ? The unit happens to be leased to a Carrier.
Could be muddy water.
I never looked at it from this angle.
Could a truck rental company hold your deposit ?

Have fun,, But remember don't get abusive or physical over the phone just yet..Not sure how long ya been trying to collect but almost everyone needs some sort of a chance to make things right. Many ways to skin a cat just protect yourself in what ever means you use to collect what maybe yours..
