Dock Height/Skid Dimension Question

I HAVE searched, but still can not find the answer to these most basic of "newbie" questions.

#1. What is the standard dock height? What is the minimum height to claim a dock height vehicle?

#2. What are the “standard” dimensions of a skid?

Dock height varies. Most docks reach my sternum, which is about 48".

Pallet sizes also vary with the 40" x 48" 4-way pallet being the standard size.

When FedEx Custom Critical specifies dock height for a truck, the box floor must be 48 - 52 inches from the ground.

48 x 48 inch pallets are not uncommon. A truck body (box) interior greater than 96" is desirable. This enables you to place two 48 x 48 inch skids side by side.
