The bill's definition of "born alive" makes it a straight-up anti-abortion bill. It also inserts a politician right between the doctor and the patient, allowing the politician to make medical decisions for which he is unqualified, as well as to make the personal decisions of the patient for which he is even less qualified. On top of all of that, we already have a Born Alive Protection Law on the books signed by GW, and we don't need any additional feel-good abortion laws any more than we need additional feel-good gun laws.
