Ice Road Truckers - Stuck on I-55 and I-44 for almost 30 hours before finally breaking free.

We were a decent looking load was offered and accepted on Friday for a Monday pickup and would get us back in the freight lanes. When we looked at the route for our pickup we realized that we would be driving right by a friends house so we reached out to see if we could see them over the weekend.

24 hours on the ice. Tell me that didn't create some stress. Wow!

Much worse in a set of doubles/triples.
Especially when one or two trls are heavy and you have an empty on the rear. Brake hard enough to stop, but not hard enough to have the last trl come around .
Add in the cheapo company practice of putting brake shoes on one side, but leaving the other side if it's got any miles left at all.

Glad they made it safely.
The guarded load didn't help matters any.
