I'm new to the forum and not yet in expediting. I do have B CDL w/HZ and was thinking about buying a D unit. All the companies I have looked at require a sleeper on your unit. The cost for a good used sleeper unit seems to be around 50k, were as I can find low cost non-sleeper units under 20k. Is there any companies that don't require one. There's alot of good info on this site and I thank everyone here for the info I have found.

Hey Macado, you can buy a truckw/out a sleeper and have one built on to it for around $5000-7000

Just a thought, but if saving money is the object, you might think of looking into the used truck dealerships in your area. I know that around here they sell lots and lots of used trucks with removable sleepers that they take off in order to use the truck for a dump truck or whatever reason. Those sleeper could be bought for nothing. I'm sure that most are absolute junk, but I would be willing to bet that if you look at enough of them, you will find a late model, good condition sleeper somewhere worth the money.

Call or go to the Alumibunk location in Detroit..(next to detroiter) They may have a wrecked truck with an okay sleeper and they can put it on for you.
