Info that's on your biennial update (MCS-150) can make a pretty big difference in your Unsafe Driving scores and Crash Indicator scores. Does anybody else pay attention to that?

Individual C.S.A. scores are based on your inspections, crashes, and compliance with the regs. Not much on the biennial update for the individual O/O or driver. The updates help with the averages of all motor carriers in different segments. Combination Vehicles / Tractor Trailers and Strait Trucks.
Unfortunately straight truck owners and drivers are plunged into the same category as local tow trucks and we all see plenty of rolling garbage towing vehicles. That is one reason the S/T segment has a lower than combo vehicles.
Also the local and regional vehicle and safety inspection data is also taken into consideration.

I fill out the form, fill in the actual mileage if any, pay them the cash and move on.

I was just referring to company CSA scores. For example, a company might increase the # of trucks on their MCS-150 and never update their mileage, and their Unsafe Driving and Crash Indicator scores could be suffer.

Your biennial update info DIRECTLY affects a company's Unsafe Driving and Crash Indicator scores, and clean inspections won't help those two BASICs either.
