Coming To A College Near You - Reparations?

That will be the case if tomorrow's leaders being developed at Western KY University have their way. What's troubling is the mindset that's being developed with the liberal indoctrination that's happening at American colleges and universities - especially the publicly funded institutions. These kids actually think they would be accomplishing something positive by giving free educations to students strictly based on their race and/or their level of victimization. Apparently they didn't stop to think how far that idea would get if challenged in court. Fortunately the WKU administration immediately rejected the Student Govt resolution, but it's not beyond reason to think liberal bastions like Cal-Berkeley or Columbia might go for it.

University rejects proposal to give black students free tuition as reparations for slavery

This is likely not the last we'll hear of the "free stuff" concept that was championed by Bernie Sanders and a few others. He understood how to appeal to this younger generation; give them whatever they want for free. They want to be independent so long as somebody else pays for it. Wonder who will be the next politician to pick up the "free college" baton and run with it?

Tucker Carlson interview with the student in charge of spearheading this thing.
Tucker's first question is a pointed one, about black people getting reparations (free college) even if their ancestors came here recently, well after slavery, Jim Crow and segregation. Turns out, her parents immigrated here, and they nor she have experienced anything for which she think reparations should be paid, other than being black, of course.

The other thing to pay close attention to is her use of the word "accessible." That word, in all of its iterations, is SJW Code for "free." As in "access" to birth control, "access" to abortion, and "access" to higher education.

Some days I think Obama is still running the country, but on the shady side of underground mining. It is really the same old stuff of "poor me mentality. I deserve a present even though it is your birthday party...I guess the kids are bored to death

Of course the next logical step in the Reparations effort would be for any/all students to get reparations. The reason? They declare themselves as trans-racial. This phenomenon has already been established by Rachel Dolezal, the genetically white former head of the Spokane, WA chapter of the NAACP.
Rachel Dolezal, the woman who was born to racially anglo parents, headed the Washington State NAACP for years and self-identifies as black, has officially broken the internet. In an eight-minute interview on the Today Show with Matt Lauer, she went public to address allegations that she has deceived friends, colleagues, and has co-opted a racial and cultural identity to gain both credibility and professional advantage....

Aside from the fact that she served as the state head of a branch of the NAACP for about a decade under these pretenses, it’s also been suggested that she plays both sides of the fence as a matter of convenience, so to speak. Around the turn of the century Dolezal (then Rachel Moore) attended Howard University, a historically black college. In her 2002 lawsuit, she claimed discrimination based on, among other things, her race.

Her quotes and the content of the above article and the cited interview with Matt Lauer would make Lewis Carroll proud. But in this great country you can be anything you want to be, and if that doesn't work out you can be something or someone else who gets more free stuff plus fifteen minutes of fame.

"To boldly go where no man has gone before". Socially and culturally, I think we've arrived (but not progressed). BTW, wonder how many of us can remember this episode of Star Trek?
