CDL Restrictions

Researching
My husband and I have done the research, studied, taken all the written tests, waited our 30 day to take the skills test and are taking that test next Tuesday (6/12) to get our class B CDL. Since we are doing this on our own we have had to rent practice trucks and have had a hard time finding a practice truck that is manual. We can however get one for the test if necessary, but neither of is have driven a manual that is larger than a Ford Ranger. I know most trucks now a days are automatic, so how bad will it hurt us getting a job with a carrier, such as Fed Ex Custom Critical, and getting a fleet owner to drive for if we have the manual restriction on our license? Thank you for any information you can provide.

There is a restriction on a CDL B. For a manual tranny? Sorry I never heard that for a CDL B. An CDL A yes. Boy I’m getting old.
