I am used to running as DT 466 at about 1800 rpm and that gave me about 70mph.
Just test drove an fl70 w/cat motor and ran 2200 rpm for about 65 mph. Is this normal with this Cat motor??/ How is the fuel mileage??? Seems to be geared too low...
You are correct thinking that is the wrong gear setup. If you can put tall rubber i.e. 11R22.5 instead of low pro you will pickup 3 or 4 miles per hour at same RPM. It sounds like this was a local delivery truck.
