Canadian expediting - East Coast home base

Is anyone operating out of the east coast of Canada with straight trucks? Are you operating independant or leased to a company? Where do you mainly run to? in Canada or to US? How are loads coming back out of the US? Are there many loads to the East Coast? I am looking to get into the business and would like to know what existing people have to say.

Thanks

I don't know of any Canadian based expedite carriers that have trucks domiciled on the east coast - specially PEI, and Nova Scotia.

I know there is US expedite freight traffic in-bound to that area. I'd wonder if an EO'ers can speak to getting outbound freight from this area.

Just say no.
You've got too much going against you right off the bat:
i)straight truck (may limit your options, due to weight/size capabilities)
ii)Canadian (no inter-stating within the USA)
iii)your location (expect lots of deadhead)
Unless you set up a great contract(s) with a manufacturer(s) out there who has lots of outbound loads, you're not going to make enough money.
Sorry if I'm a downer. Do lots of homework before you sign anything.
