Canadian drivers in US

We are gathering info to pursue a career in expediting and would like to know how Canadian drivers fare moneywise and milewise. Can Canadian drivers dirve pin to pin in US cities before returning to Canada? If paid by US employer, what about income tax? What are the write offs on income tax ie meals, hotels etc? How often do you return to home? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks,

As a Canadian you cannot drive in the U.S. after loading here. You must return to Canada just as we cannot pick up and deliver in Canada. Your best bet would be to contact carriers that are based out of Canada. If you are caught the fines are stiff and you could loose your equipment. Not really worth the risk, is it?
